Most of our heritage newspaper collections are locally held on microfilm or archived paper copies, making them difficult and time consuming to access. Today, researchers of all ages expect to find almost everything online, and digitizing community newspaper collections not only increases access, but can build community interaction and help organizations reach an audience near and far without straining staff and budgets.

Join us to learn about the nuts and bolts of getting started and what to expect when you're working with newspapers. We'll also talk about sustainable approaches to strategically increasing use of your local history and community collections.
