Gamification is the use of game elements in non-entertainment settings such as education or behavioral change. Virtual learning experiences are teaching methods which rely on created worlds or objects such as simulated patients or cities. Blending these two approaches together can create compelling learning. The use of narrative, compulsion loops, scoring systems, analytics, social media and open world designs make learning relevant and flexible for both learners and instructors. Come explore the new world of VLEs and game building.
