Too often, small special libraries function as silo departments within larger organizations whose library staff can feel cut off from the wider professional library community. This session aims to serve solo or small-staffed libraries by sharing, reviewing and discussing free/low-cost tools and technologies relevant to their unique circumstances and needs. Participants will gain awareness of tools to automate existing technical or manual processes, to improve efficiency and save time, and to help promote services, collections, physical or online spaces to their users (and non-users).
