A Crash Course on COVID-19 Information Sources

During this challenging time, information professionals may be asked to be a lifeline for information on COVID-19. Since there is a wealth of resources available for COVID-19, the key is to select reputable sources that provide accurate evidence-based information. 

This webinar will provide an introduction to key sources for information about COVID-19, including consumer health information, statistical information, emerging research, and myth debunking. 

Research tips for finding detailed information will also be discussed. This webinar is designed for librarians and information professionals who want to learn more on where to start looking for accurate and quality info sources on COVID-19 and who may also have limited experience with searching for health information.

In this session, participants will learn: 

  • Where to start looking for accurate information on COVID-19; 
  • How to conduct health information research; 
  • And more!

About the Presenter:  

Sarah Bonato is a health science librarian at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, ON and is the current president of the Ontario Health Libraries Association. Currently she is involved with supporting COVID-19 research on the mental health and public health impacts.
